<h1>"Hidden gem in the North End"</h1>
The day started like any other Saturday, the girlfriend asked “where are we going to dinner tonight?” , the boyfriend, looking oblivious, quickly navigated the food apps looking for an available reservation. 
All the trendy restaurants were booked.
The boyfriend found Prezza located outside the congested Hanover St. (fingers crossed).

We obtained an 8:30pm reservation and with gentle weather of 70 we decided to take a walk.

<h1>Appetizers </h1>
We ordered the baby mesclun salad and the meatballs. I loved how they divided the salad ahead for us and the meatballs were divine. With the meatballs you have the option to order 3 or 4 and we went for 4. Yummy!

<h1>Main course </h1>

The boyfriend ordered the tuna steak and I went for the lobster diavolo spaghetti. Both dishes were deliciousness!!! Mouth watering as I write this.

<h1>Dessert &amp; vibe </h1>
Sorry folks, no space left for the tiramisu. We ordered the lemon sorbet. Delicious and magnificent palate cleanser. I have a sweet tooth and love dessert but I’ve been more mindful about it and sorbet is the perfect choice. The lemon sorbet was perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, plus home made.

We left Prezza feeling satisfied and joyful. 
The vibe is beautiful. Just the right amount of people of every age. The crowd was just beautiful and the vibe peaceful. I highly recommend this restaurant and I hope your experience is as enjoyable as mine was.

Venice Story : The Learning Garden

<h1>About the Garden</h1>
The Learning Garden was launched in March of 2001. Since then it has quickly become one of the country’s largest and most successful school gardens.
The Learning Garden is a model example of how school gardens can transform the lives of students and teachers and the environment of their community. For several years, many groups worked with the high school horticulture program to transform the 60,000 square foot plot of land into a garden, but due to lack of stronger community support it remained mostly an eyesore filled with trash, overgrown with weeds, and a magnet for vandalism. 
Today, the agricultural plots are filled with organic food grown by the high school students. Health-related classes such as tai chi, qigong, and natural food cooking are offered on its large stone patio. The garden has a large medicinal plant section for educational purposes, a pond with a water garden and waterfall, and a California native plant and cacti garden. 
A community garden is tended by local volunteers, and numerous groups and organizations use and support the garden.

<h1>The Experience </h1>
<h2>Connecting to Nature</h2>

The Learning Garden is much more than a garden. For the students of the high school it is an opportunity to be closer to nature, a place to learn about respecting the environment and taking care of plants and animals. 
For the teachers it is a place of solace. For the community it is a place of visual beauty. For those who have dedicated thousands of hours to making the inspiration of the garden a reality, it is a joyful and fulfilling accomplishment. 
For all who come, whether to a single event or as a regular volunteer, The Learning Garden is a remarkable and unique place that touches something deep in the heart and soul.

Since the first groundbreaking ceremony, The Learning Garden has received ongoing support and assistance from many generous benefactors and hard-working volunteers. The garden was founded by Julie Mann and David Crow. 
The Garden Master is David King. The Horticulture Program at Venice High School is taught by Diane Pollock. 
Students from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine have played a major role in the development of the Chinese medicinal herb garden, and the school holds regular classes and events at the garden. 
The Agape Spiritual Center is actively involved in regular work days and special projects at the garden. 
The UCLA Horticulture Department teaches its extension program at The Learning Garden. 
Students from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine contributed to the development of the herbal database.

LAUSD began constructing a new STEM building for the school, and unfortunately they required the garden space for construction vehicles and trailers. This caused the relocation of many plants and had a pretty big impact on the soil ecosystem.
After construction, the Venice Learning Garden and its volunteers were tasked with soil remediation. The soil was packed down and stagnant throughout the year plus of construction. It was finally time to regrow and revitalize the soil and bring back the beauty out of a barren field.

The progress we have made to rejuvenate the soil and bring life back to the garden has been profound and a delight to watch.
We let the wild￼ Alfalfa grow to bring nitrogen back into the soil along with many other variety of naturally growing plants.
We did not till the soil, we let the weeds and other hearty plants to naturally break up the compact soil, which allowed for aeration and microorganisms to flourish with the incoming oxygen.

Some of the plants we use to remediate the soil are sunflowers, red clover, fennel, alfalfa, and wild mallow.￼ 
Fennel brings Black Swallowtail butterflies to the garden to hatch their eggs on. The caterpillar you see above is one of their offspring that love to munch on the fennel.
It is truly fascinating to watch this natural phenomenon and the presence of these critters really brings you into the moment and just for a moment, you're not thinking about anything, just pure presence with a sense of awe.

<h1>Keep the Garden Growing</h1>
The Learning Garden is a living classroom and a place of sanctuary. We invite you to get involved in the ongoing work that supports this project. There are many ways to participate, from volunteer gardening to donations. Together, we are building a healthier future for the students and the community.
<h2>Volunteering </h2>
If you would like to come to the garden to volunteer your time and effort in keeping us growing, we take volunteers 12pm-3pm on Saturday and Sundays. 
We welcome all people from all walks of life, just wear some shoes and apparel you don't mind getting dirty!

<h1>The Foodie’s Guide To Bali</h1>
One of my favorite things about Bali is its incredibly delicious food and trendy bars. And because there’s way too many incredible places to name, I’ve split this list into two parts - keep an eye out for my part 2 mag coming soon. Several of these places came as recommendations from my Aussie friends who’ve been traveling to Bali on holiday for YEARS, so you know they’re good. Apart from their recommendations, all of our other finds have come from simply racing through Bali on a motorbike and stumbling into some really neat spots. So without further ado, let’s get into our absolute favorite spots to eat and drink - I promise these won’t disappoint.

<h1>Peloton Supershop</h1>
<h2>Berawa</h2>
First on our list is our MOST favorite breakfast and lunch spot: Peloton Supershop. If we could eat here every day, we probably would! Located in the Berawa neighborhood between Seminyak and Canggu, Peloton is a breezy, casual cafe that serves up the most delicious vegan, plant-based plates that I’ve ever tasted. This is a must-stop if you’re in Bali – trust me.

What to order:
A few of our favorites include the Blue Island Bowl, Avo Good Day, Breakaway Burrito and Pantani Porridge. They also have some delicious Ayurvedic drinks and teas! But honestly, everything here is awesome and definitely won’t disappoint.

<h1>Give Cafe</h1>
<h2>Canggu</h2>
Okay, so I don’t have just one favorite restaurant in Bali, I have two at the very top of my list. If you’re looking to get a taste of traditional Balinese food with a plant-based twist, this tiny little cafe is IT. I’m not joking when I say that Ryan and I can’t get enough of Give. This vegan-friendly spot is the sister cafe to the IG-famous Kynd Community (which we’ll share about shortly) with just as many photo-worthy spots and a truly laid-back, local vibe. As if this special place couldn’t get any better, they actually donate 100% of their proceeds to local charities - after purchasing your meal, you’ll receive a wooden coin that you can drop in the bucket of your choice to support charities focused on the environment, human welfare, or wildlife protection.

What to order:
Their vegan Mie Goreng (Southeast Asian noodle stir fry) is hands down incredible, and is basically the dish that kept us coming back (brb, currently drooling just thinking about it…). Apart from that, we love their Cheekan Satay, Pink Latte, Peach and Star Fruit Iced Tea, and their tasty baked goods and cookies (…okay, the sweets were really only for me).

I highly recommend making a reservation at The Lawn for a sunset dinner – it gets packed – but it’s definitely worthwhile. Strong, flavorful drinks, ocean views, live music, an on-site pool and an upper deck with a swing – what more can you ask for?! Located right on Old Man’s beach, The Lawn is another must-go when you’re in Canggu.

What to order:
You can’t visit The Lawn without grabbing one of their craft cocktails! We love the Chilli Sour and Coconut Mojito, and you can’t go wrong with their food either; try the Lemongrass Chicken &amp; Turmeric Skewers or the Gado Gado Zucchini Noodles – and thank us later.

<h1>Kynd Community</h1>
<h2>Seminyak</h2>
As mentioned previously, Kynd Community is the IG-famous, pink-and-white sister cafe of Give. Tucked amidst the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, this place is arguably the most trendy food spot you can hit up. Another plant-based favorite, Kynd showcases flavors certain to please every palette, and no aesthetic detail goes unnoticed at this eye-pleasing spot. The food is just as good as it is at Give, with a bit more extensive of a menu - including drinks, “peace-zza”, ramen and even their own adorable vegan ice creamery next door.

What to order:
We came here during brunch, however the cafe is open until the later evening hours if you’re looking for a more savory meal. I absolutely loved the Paradise Pancakes and couldn’t pass up getting the Berry Tropical smoothie bowl.

<h1>La Laguna</h1>
<h2>Berawa</h2>
Literally a gypsy wonderland. The owners of La Laguna thought into every magical detail possible when putting this laid-back haven together. Think hanging lanterns, fortune teller carriages, colorful cushions… the whole nines. We really loved coming here for a sunset dinner and enjoying the relaxing vibes and ocean views. They have a few different areas to sit, so if you’re looking for something specific, be sure to call ahead for a reservation, as it can sometimes get a bit busy around sunset.
What to order:
You truly can’t go wrong with anything here. I love their Mediterranean Dips appetizer, as well as their Calamari. And don’t forget to grab a drink before sunset so sip in those gorgeous rays of color, right from your table.

<h1>La Favela</h1>
<h2>Seminyak</h2>
Another insanely decorated place from the same owners as the aforementioned La Laguna, La Favela quite literally feels like you’re walking into an old-school Brazilian favela, with no detail left unnoticed. We love coming here for dinner just as much as we love exploring the restaurant and upper deck with a drink in hand. For some reason, this place always makes me feel like I’m on the set of Narcos, but in the best way possible.
What to order:
Ryan and I love the Mexico Meets Asia tacos and the Granny’s Oven grilled chicken, and for drinks I enjoyed a Favela Breeze while Ryan got the Boom Boom. What is this, you ask? It was a sort of shot that they banged on the table and it exploded – it was a whole thing, but definitely entertaining!

**Since writing this post, Aya Street has permanently closed. However, I am keeping this special place on my list to memorialize it and hope that one day it re-opens so you can enjoy its amazingness***
I LOVE Aya Street. The ambiance, the drinks, the food, all of the IG-ready photo ops – were nothing short of creative. The overall ambiance of the space is almost like playful, street-art-vibes meets trendy Peruvian cuisine, and it just works. I think my favorite part of Aya was definitely their fun and creative drinks!

What to order:
To eat, I got the Classic Ceviche and Ryan got the Chicken Skewers – both were SO delicious – and we ordered the Chocolate Sphere for dessert, which melted down with a pour-over of hot chocolate syrup. Yum. For drinks, we ordered the Duck Lips (complete with a rubber ducky floating on top), Booty Call, Thyme ‘O Clock and bubbling Espresso Ayatini. Each cocktail had its own “theatrics” which added a special something to each drink experience.

<h1>Kismet</h1>
<h2>Ubud</h2>
This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Ubud! Situated down a quiet little street, the restaurant is dark but comfortable, and serves both drinks and food with amazing spices. We came here for a quiet, intimate dinner, but I believe they also serve breakfast and lunch food if you’re in the area! The cuisine ranges from Asian-inspired options to classic Italian, French and even American options – all with a classy, thoughtful touch.

What to order:
To drink, I ordered the Mango Rujah, which was SO spicy. Omg. I was definitely sweating – but it was tasty! Ryan got a Margarita (per usual) – and they offer tons of awesome flavors, including Hibiscus, Passionfruit, and Coconut. For dinner, we split the Garlic Chili Edamame and Bali Pad Thai – both of which were absolutely delicious!

I highly recommend coming to Rock Bar for sunset dinner! I realize I’ve recommended a lot of sunset dinners at this point… but honestly, this place is quite literally built into the rocks, right over the ocean. Located at the Ayana Resort, you’ll take a small elevator down to the restaurant only to be greeted with stunning views and amazing service. The food was also delicious (and boujie), as were the drinks.

What to order:
Their Goong Sarong is so yummy! It’s basically prawns wrapped in crispy noodles – sounds weird but they are so so good, especially dipped in chili sauce. I’m pretty sure we ordered two rounds of these…possibly more. We also love the Summer Rolls, which are nice and refreshing after a long day in the sun. To drink, we love the Rock My World and Taragon Margarita. Mmmm.

Our family’s favorite vacation spot is Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta. This year we spent Thanksgiving there, filled with lots and lots of food, join me on the tour ;)

Did you know that spaghetti sauces and salad’s dressings could ruin all of your hard-working diet? Most of them contain the enormous amount of sugar, the worst quality of salt and some other Mendeleev ingredients.
"If you give up on making your own sauce every time you see a hundred ingredients in a fancy recipe, don’t worry, I got you! 
This one is easy! 
Let me give you an advise - do a big portion at once, so you have it for a few days. This is what I do every time, and delight the creamy healthy sauce by adding it to pasta, rice, potatoes, quinoa or salad - new taste every day!

1. Soak 2 cups of organic cashews for an hour.
I use the ones from Costco - good price and great quality! 
Put them in a blender after 1h of soaking without water.

You can also use other nuts (soak them overnight). However 1 hour for cashews is enough.
I can only imagine the amazing taste of Brazil nut sauce! 
Oh, how about to mix different nuts? It’s totally up to you!

2. The second most important ingredient after cashews is a coconut milk. I bought this one in Costco. Make sure it’s organic and doesn’t contain any sugar! Watch - unsweetened. Add all of it to cashews.

3. Start frying organic mushrooms (cut them into medium pieces first). White mushrooms, portobello - I always mix. Add salt, black pepper and garlic. Use your favorite oil - coconut oil is my favorite!

4. Put a lot of Basil and Dill. I harvest our homemade dill and basil right from this awesome “garden”. It should be another post about this great invention! For now, I’m leaving you a website below, so you can check it out!

You can also add fresh garlic or onion. Instead of this I put this amazing organic non-salt seasoning, which contains almost every possible healthy spices. Found in Costco!

5. Add Himalayan Salt, Garlic and Black Pepper. Mine are from Costco.
6. Mix everything in a blender (without mushrooms yet).

Once you taste your sauce base, make sure you like the consistency. I decided to add a little bit of almond milk, as it was too thick. However don’t forget that we still are going to add mushrooms.
If you don’t have almond milk.. we can’t be friends! Lol sorry! Just a joke, because I can’t live without almond milk, and always have a storage for at least a month!
If you don’t have almond milk, use water!

7. Finally add crispy golden mushrooms to your base and don’t mix it on high speed neither too long! I just pulse for a few times, so instead of the mushroom porridge, you are going to see small pieces of mushrooms.
Okay, pulse!

This is the consistency of a final product that is perfect for me - very light and creamy!

If you need to add more spices, do it, but mix it with a spoon instead of a blender. This way you are going to save small mushroom pieces!

That’s it! There are usually 8-10 small portions, so make sure you keep it in a fridge (better in a glass container) and try not to eat it all in one day!

<h1>Making Vegan Chile Rellenos! </h1>
Part 1 🌶

<h2>Hello everyone! And welcome to my very first Mag! 😍</h2>
On today’s Mag, Mama Maria and I will be whipping it up in the kitchen! I wanted to share Mama Maria’s recipe and delicious, authentic, Mexican cuisine with everyone but add my vegan twist to it!🌶🌱As you can see, I have no idea what to do in the kitchen, the ⭐️ truly is Mama Maria, I’m just here for that emotional support! 
The video above is part one of making Vegan Chile Rellenos, while the following Mag will have part two! I hope you enjoy!

I never realilzed until we were filming, mom doesn’t actually know any measurements to anything. The secret to all of her recipes is knowing, through experience, trial and error, and with practice, what the dish needs, how much and how little. For instance, not every pepper is the same size, so not every pepper needs to be cooked for the same amount of time, sit to steam for a certain amount of time etc. I guess she’s right you just have to wing it! 
So as we go along, and you follow us on this journey, I hope you’ll get used to not knowing how much, how little, just going with your gut, and as mom always says, “the worst thing that could happen is that it taste bad!” To which I replied, “but the idea of this is that were sharing recipes that taste delicious, I don’t know how well that’s gonna go over with our viewers” 😂💁🏻‍♀️

The trick to a good vegan cheese, and in my opinion there are not many, it’s finding one that melts well. Violife brand is one of my all-time favorites! And not just the cheese, they have a great cream cheese as well!

<h2>Egg replacements are funny 🥚</h2>
Before I went vegan, I had no idea eggs could even be replaced. Now in my opinion, is it as close to the real thing when it comes to baking or cooking? Not always, but sometimes it’s pretty darn close…For this recipe, this egg replacement works amazing. 
Sidenote: applesauce is also used as an egg replacement. Though, I do not think it would work well here 😂

Carla Cafe is one of, if not THE best sandwich you will ever eat. Carla Cafe was created during the pandemic by Avi Ahdoot, in need for quick cash. 
Avi had his own recipe that he had mastered for personal consumption and when him and his girlfriend started sharing to social, there was an immediate request to buy his sandwich. 
Shortly after realizing he was sitting on gold, he started slanging sandwiches from home until they moved to a new kitchen at <a href="https://hwoodgroup.com/venue/bootsy-bellows/">Bootsy Bellows</a>, a tip night club in LA. Pretty good press guys!

<h1>Carla Cafe: A Pandemic-Born Pop-Up Making LA’s Best New Sandwiches</h1>

Like so many of us, when the lockdown hit in March, Avi Ahdoot was left thinking one thing: “Now what?”
The former tech worker had spent the majority of his 20s in the start-up world, working on an iOS app concept, but was suddenly faced with the need for supplemental income. The obvious pivot? Sandwiches, of course.
“I started making this aioli chicken sandwich at home. It was just something I’d wake up craving and couldn’t really find at nearby restaurants, so I started playing around with the recipe,” Adhoot says. “My girlfriend posted pictures of the sandwich on her Instagram, and immediately, friends and family began reaching out asking where they could buy it. I knew then that, at some point, I wanted to see if I could actually sell these things.”

Turns out, he could. Launched out of his house in May, Carla Cafe - named after the street he lives on - became a social media sensation. Now, it’s a counter pop-up in West Hollywood and home to some of our favorite new sandwiches in LA. Working with a team that now includes three additional cooks, his girlfriend Jessica Horell running front of house, and Mallori Lari, a close friend who was furloughed herself in late spring, as Director of Operations, Carla Cafe has moved into the kitchen at <a href="https://hwoodgroup.com/venue/bootsy-bellows/">Bootsy Bellows</a>, a well-known nightclub on the Sunset Strip, where they’re doing sandwich drops three times a week. 
Or should we say sandwich - singular. They only make one kind each day (which they announce on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/carlacafela/">Instagram</a>), but just know that whether it’s pesto chicken, tuna chop, or garlic aioli chicken, you’re in for an absolutely tremendous lunch. All pre-ordering is done through DMs on Instagram, so give them a follow and stay diligent - time slots fill up fast, and believe us, you don’t want to miss it.

<a href="https://instagram.com/carlacafela?utm_medium=copy_link">Garlic Aioli Chicken</a> - This is the sandwich that started it all, and still our favorite. We could point to the quality of vegetables, the perfectly cooked chicken, or a ciabatta bun that’s so crunchy you can hear someone bite into it a block away, but what takes this sandwich to the next level is the house-made garlic aioli. We’ve now gotten to the point where we just order it as an extra side, so we can dunk other things into it throughout the week.

<a href="https://instagram.com/carlacafela?utm_medium=copy_link">Tuna Chop</a> - Far from your regular tuna sandwich, this thing’s loaded with so many fresh vegetables, at certain points you’ll wonder if this counts as eating a salad. Be kind to yourself and just say yes. And then blissfully bite back into that crunchy ciabatta bun.

<a href="https://instagram.com/carlacafela?utm_medium=copy_link">Pesto Chicken</a> - While there are some very obvious similarities to this sandwich and the garlic aioli chicken, there are some key differences, too. Namely, fresh pesto and sun-dried tomatoes that give the whole sandwich a sweet, herbaceous flavor. If you want to take the whole thing up even a notch further, order an extra side of the garlic aioli to dunk it in. Trust us, you will not regret it.

<h1>Fried Rice Balls</h1>

<h2>Ingredients</h2>
<ul>
 <li>3 cups of rice</li>
 <li>3 tbsp soy sauce</li>
 <li>1 tbsp dashi (shirodashi or dashi powder)</li>
 <li>1 tbsp mirin</li>
 <li>Sesame oil</li>
 <li>2 cloves garlic</li>
 <li>3 cups of water </li>
</ul>

<h2>Directions:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Rinse rice thoroughly.</li>
 <li>Put the rice in a rice cooker and add soy sauce, dashi, and mirin.</li>
 <li>Add about 3 cups of water into the rice cooker. Mix well.</li>
 <li> Places 2 cloves of garlic in the middle and turn on the rice cooker. Wait till done.</li>
 <li>Once rice is cooked, mix it well. </li>
 <li>Separate the rice into 8 and form them into triangle using plastic wrap.</li>
 <li>Heat a pan with low heat and coat the pan with sesame oil.</li>
 <li>Place rice balls onto the pan and fry them till they start browning. Make sure to fry all sides.</li>

<h1>Banana Earl Grey Tea Bread</h1>
<h2>Total time: 1h</h2>
<h2>Ingredients: </h2>
<ul>
 <li>1/2 ripe banana (we’ll use total of 3 bananas for this recipe)</li>
 <li>1 earl grey tea bag</li>
 <li>2 tbsp chia seeds</li>
</ul>
Dry ingredients: 
<ul>
 <li>2 cups AP flour</li>
 <li>1 tsp baking soda</li>
 <li>A pinch of salt</li>
</ul>
Wet ingredients: 
<ul>
 <li>1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature, coconut oil as an alternative)</li>
 <li>3/4 cup brown sugar</li>
 <li>2 eggs (1/2 cup of apple sauce as an alternative)</li>
 <li>2 1/2 ripe banana (mashed)</li>
 <li>1 tsp vanilla extract </li>
</ul>
<h2>Directions:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Preheat the oven to 350 F and coat the loaf pan with nonstick oil spray. Set aside.</li>
 <li>Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.</li>
 <li>In a large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar. Mix till creamy.</li>
 <li>Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract into the large bowl (the rest of the wet ingredients). Mix until completely incorporated.</li>
 <li>Combine chia seeds and tea leaves (open the tea bag and mix in the leaves) into wet ingredients mixture.</li>
 <li>Gradually add dry ingredient mixture into wet ingredients and mix into there are no flour sockets.</li>
 <li>Spoon the batter into the loaf pan and top with banana slices (1/2 banana). Bake for about 50 minutes.</li>
 <li>Once baked, make sure to stick a toothpick in the middle and see if it comes out clean.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Ingredients:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>3/4 cup Waffle (pancake mix)</li>
 <li>2/3 cup water</li>
 <li>1 3/1 tbsp oil (I used coconut oil)</li>
 <li>1 tbsp matcha powder</li>
 <li>1/3 cup chocolate chip</li>
</ul>

<h2>Directions: </h2>
<ul>
 <li>Mix all the ingredients together </li>
 <li>Heat up the waffle maker and coat it with oil (I used coconut oil)</li>
 <li>Pour about 1 cup batter on each side (my waffle maker makes 2 at a time)</li>
 <li>Wait till it’s done, dress them with some fruits and honey…..voila!</li>

<h1>Miso Mushroom Bruschetta </h1>
You might wonder “why miso?”, but trust me. It’s the best easy app you’ve ever had.

<h2>Ingredients: </h2>
<ul>
 <li>1 pack of mushroom</li>
 <li>2 cloves garlic </li>
 <li>1 tsp crushed red pepper </li>
 <li>5 tsp olive oil </li>
 <li>A small piece of dried kelp</li>
 <li>1 tbsp miso</li>
 <li>French baguette</li>
 <li>Cream cheese</li>
 <li>Chive</li>
 <li>Parmesan cheese</li>
</ul>

 <h2>Directions:</h2>
 <ul>
 <li>Slice the garlic.</li>
 <li>In a small sauce pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and sliced garlic, simmer with low heat till you get the aroma.</li>
 <li>Add the rest of olive oil, crushed red pepper, and dried kelp and simmer till the garlic starts browning.</li>
 <li>Add the mushroom and miso and simmer till mushroom is cooked, set aside.</li>
 <li>Slice the baguette and toast them in the oven.</li>
 <li>Rub a garlic onto the baguette slices.</li>
 <li>Spread generous amount of cream cheese on the baguette and put on some olive oil.</li>
 <li>Put the mushroom on top.</li>
 <li>Chop some chives and sprinkle on the bruschetta.</li>
 <li>Add some Parmesan cheese on top…………there you go!🤍 </li>
 </ul>

LIST OF FAV LONG BEACH COFFEE SHOPS

I decided to compile a list of my favorite coffee shops in Long Beach. When you are first exploring a new city it can be daunting to find the right place to enjoy your favorite cup of joe. 
And as crazy as it sounds each coffee shop is a different mood and satisfies a different experience. For example, are you studying? Are you hanging out with a friend? Are you hungry and also want some good food? Looking for breakfast? Are they open late in the afternoon? 

I have a made a list of my favorite places!

Hands down favorite place for breakfast and their coffee is bomb. There is a high chance you will find me here during the weekend!

The real winner and the number one reason I keep coming back to Copa (aka coffee parlor), is the original breakfast burrito. It is so good, between the bacon and the tater tots and the fried soft egg, it is all a killer combo. Not too greasy, but definitely satisfies that craving! It is even boyfriend approved. 

They also have pretty good coffee! Never watered down and they make their vanilla syrup from scratch! It’s so good. No joke probably one of my favorite coffees in LB!

I also love the atmosphere, they have tables outside, a lot of times with umbrellas. It’s one of my favorite places to go during the weekend, you get to enjoy a chill morning crowd. Lots of friends, couples, and parents come hang out here. There are always furry little dog/friends running around and kids. And we’ve noticed that the fire department and police department love to come hang out here too and get their morning burrito fix!

As you probably already noticed from the first photo, one of my favorite places for an iced cup of coffee is Coffee Drunk!

You have to try their instigator! It’s a shaken brown sugar coffees latte served over ice. With some oat milk, it is perfect. It is sweet enough yet their coffee stands out. And trust me their coffee is good. 

Inside it is always pretty chill and quiet. The perfect place to study. They have tables outside all around the restaurant that is also good if you want to chat with a friend! Tables are not big, good for two people catching up! 

They also have amazing pastries 🤤 and they recently just opened a kitchen and they are offering food! I have yet to try their breakfast but I am dying to! 

Closes pretty early tho, so make sure it’s part of your morning!

Great place for an iced vanilla latte and a breakfast burrito! It is up there with one of my favorite breakfast in LB! 

Honestly they have this rose tea latte that is to die for, it is unique and tastes so good! I would return just for that! 

They also have a great selection of organic orange wines and unique IPAS you can purchase! 

They have it all food, coffee, alcohol, and they even sell pants. I mean, what more can you ask for? My heart is happy!

Due to covid it seems like they have to take some of the tables away so people wouldn’t sit inside, not a lot of places to sit and eat/drink. That is the only downside so it’s the perfect place to pick it to go and eat at home for a lazy Sunday. Hopefully once things start opening up again they will have more seating inside!
