Have you seen Seaspiracy?
If you haven’t, I recommend you to watch this documentary because the facts are alarming. The documentary’s goal is to help us understand the benefits of eating a plant-based diet.
Would this transition be difficult? YES YES AND YES
But anything that requires adjustment on our part is going to be challenging.
You may ask: What is a plant-based diet?
“A plant-based diet or a plant-rich diet is adietconsisting mostly or entirely of plant-based foods. Plant-based foods are foods derived from plants (including vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, and fruits) with noanimal-source foodsor artificial ingredients.” (Wikipedia, 2021)
I understand that we may have some meat lovers in our community. To be honest, I am not a meat lover myself, but I do enjoy meat on certain occasions. However, if we want to protect our planet, we have to shift our food diet to save our planet.
Therefore, this mag is dedicated to plant-based diet recipes and brands. Hopefully, you can use it in your everyday life but at your own pace.

Plant-based Tacos
I watched a YouTube video of Kim Kardashian’s tacos recipe. YES, you read that right, plant-based tacos. The brand that is featured in her video is called Beyond Meat, and their mission is as follow:
“We believe there is a better way to feed our future and that the positive choices we all make, no matter how small, can have a great impact on our personal health and the health of our planet. By shifting from animal to plant-based meat, we can positively impact four growing global issues: human health, climate change, constraints on natural resources, and animal welfare.” (Meat, n.d.)

“A peer-reviewed Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) conducted by the University of Michigan compared the environmental impact of the Beyond Burger to a ¼ lb. U.S. beef burger. The result? A Beyond Burger uses significantly less water, land, energy, and generates fewer Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHGE) than a beef burger. (BeyondMeat, 2021).
