<p>My Research on natural solutions began in 1990. </p>
<p>I was a vegetarian at the time and as I was looking for ways to supplement my diet, I started finding truths and facts about food and the industry. </p>
<p>Over the years, I’ve gained much knowledge and information. Through self experimentation I can attest to my truth. </p>
<p>This guide provides natural solutions. There are many subjects on natural solutions. I haven’t listed anything on food, because there are so many different categories. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. </p>

<p><strong>This is a recent find for me. I have tried these and they work great! Leaves laundry perfume free of scent and soft as well so no need for fabric softener. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Seeds are collected from a tree. It’s easier to buy already shelled. You can use as is or boil down and use for other cleaning needs such as shampoo, bodywash and household. </strong></p>

<p><strong>For those of you who like a little scent, add a touch of essential oil. </strong></p>
<p>⛔️<strong>Most essential oils are toxic to pets!(especially cats). </strong></p>

<h2><strong>For Laundry Use:</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Put 6 seeds in a muslin bag &amp; double knot. Place in washing machine. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Can use in dryer as well, although not necessary as laundry comes out soft after wash. There’s a slight to zero scent but it has a light flowery frangrance</strong></p>
<p><strong>Re-Use up to 6 times</strong></p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>LIQUID SOAP/HOUSEHOLD CLEANER</strong></span></p>
<h2><strong>•	30 soap nuts</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>•	Water</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>•	1 TBS vinegar ( preservative)</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>•	Citrus Rinds (optional)</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>•	144 drops Geoguard ECT or 1/2 teaspoon Leucidal SF (optional preservative)</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>TOOLS:</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>•	Small pan</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>STEPS:</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>1.	Place soap nuts and water in a small pan. Heat on high until boiling.</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>2.	Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes. Cover the pan so water doesn't evaporate.</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>3.	Add the final cup of water and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>4.	Remove from heat and let cool completely.</strong></h2>
<h2><strong>5.	Remove the soap nuts. Add a preservative and any essential oils that you want to use. Store in a mason jar with a lid.</strong></h2>

<h1><strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline">WATER</span></strong></h1>
<h2><strong>All About The Base</strong></h2>
<p><strong>All tap &amp; bottled water is toxic. At the moment, I make my own drinking water with a reverse osmosis machine. My joints feel so much better after ditching bottled water!!. After watching many documentaries and seeing tests and then testing the theory, I’m positive this is a core point of health!</strong></p>

<h1>Amazon Nontoxic Kitchen Essentials</h1>
<p>Navigating the kitchen can seem overwhelming when trying to use nontoxic products. As a general rule of thumb, I try and avoid plastics in the kitchen. Heat can cause plastics to leach chemicals and you want to keep these toxins away from food. Instead, I swap plastic items for food grade silicone or glass. </p>

<p>My name is Avery and I have spent the last four years learning everything I could about the products we use every day and what ingredients are in them. </p>
<p>When I was 13, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36. Though my family was one of the lucky ones, and had a speedy recovery, it still puzzles me how someone so young and healthy had to endure this diagnosis. I vividly remember my mom’s oncologist advising her to stay away from dairy and soy going forward. This sticks out as the first instance I had heard of factors in our environment being a potential threat to our health. </p>
<p>My academic career focused on the factors that are contributing to adverse health outcomes, specific to maternal, fetal, and infant health. It became quickly apparent through these studies that there is something happening in our every day lives that is contributing to an increased risk of disease. I took a deep dive into the regulations within the United States and couldn’t believe how little the agencies that are designed to protect us are doing to check ingredients before they’re in products we touch every day. </p>
<p>I’ve tested hundreds of products and have done the research so you don’t have to. Luckily, there’s so many amazing products on the market now that don’t make us sacrifice quality for safety. </p>
<p>I’m so happy and excited to share everything I have learned and products I love so much with everyone! </p>

<p><em>About the project </em></p>
<p><em>A building designated for uncompromising preservation, with historical architectural value. Built in 1928 in eclectic style by Architect A. Strimmer as the residence of the Neeman family, the structure’s unique elements combine into a magnificent façade. The existing three-story structure was carefully renovated and restored by Architect YIftach Arad, who added a new, modern five-story wing to the rear of the building, which fits in harmoniously with the existing structure. The interior was also restored and decorated in the unique spirit of young Tel Aviv, and basks its residents and visitors with the special aroma of yesteryear.</em></p>
<p><em>In close cooperation with the Tel Aviv Municipal Preservation Department, the building was fitted with environmentally friendly technologies and building materials, and the project scored very highly for its Green Construction attributes, and was designated the first pilot project in Israel, and perhaps one of the very first in the world, to implement a combination of the preservation of historical buildings with advanced technologies to improve quality of life in an environmentally-friendly building.</em></p>

<h2><strong>About The Artist</strong></h2>
<p>As an emerging film photographer with a spark for ingenuity, Mike Gray enthralls the viewer with his cinematic stills, close up portraiture, and staged scenes. Although Gray recently began to focus more intently on photography, with the guidance of mentor Tyler Shields, he embarked on an exploration into the creative/artistic realm a decade prior. </p>
<p>As a young child, it was clear that Gray’s artistic aptitude necessitated further cultivation. Growing up in both Dallas and Houston, Texas, his time in the South facilitated a courageous mindset that has motivated Gray to foster the poignant art he makes today. As was his dream since high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Gray has made a name for himself acting in theatrical productions, film, tv and commercials. Alongside, he also dabbled in directing and editing. Self driven and determined, Mike Gray has solidified himself as a multifaceted creator.</p>
<p>With his preferred film camera, PENTAX 67, Gray captures his subjects with vivid intimacy.</p>
<p>He is best known for elevating people of color by drawing on historic events of the past to inspire his concepts. “The overall mission is to highlight my people and put them in positions they normally wouldn't be put in years ago.” In this vein, Gray molds his own narrative in each photo he takes, warping the past to weave a better future. His documentary work from the LA Riots in 2020, along with his recreations of historical moments (the Kennedys and Ruby Bridges) elevate ordinary people to compelling figures of power. Gray’s images, layered with shock value and meaning, enable him to comment on the political and social systems of our current and past generations. </p>
<p>Although Gray constructs images of his own blueprint, he is far from wedded to a singular artistic style. Although some of his work is staged, he allows his instincts to inform his creative side. Spontaneity — on the other hand —is a pivotal aspect of Gray's documentary artistry. Gray adheres to the constant forward-moving cycle of creativity, emphatically claiming, “progression is pivotal.” His work, while distinguishable in its deliberate thematic motives, is simple in its tangible rawness. With Gray, art is not sought synthetically, but veiled right before our eyes. Gray’s photography allows the viewer to step into an alternate reality, one seen through a learned lens.</p>
<p>Mike Gray is an artist to look out for. Charismatic charm exudes from his person, and his humble stance only further portrays his authentic approach. With so much achieved from the first year of his photography career, greatness awaits young Gray.</p>

<h1><strong>BLACK UTOPIA </strong></h1>
<h2>“The reasoning behind naming the series Black Utopia, is the perfection of the world I create for each image. My goal as an artist was to put African American people in positions you normally wouldn’t see them in during the respected time period. Beauty, Happiness, Vulnerability, and Freedom are four stand out words to describe the feeling of Black Utopia. I’ve never been a fan of how my people are portrayed publicly, which is why I plan to push the envelope &amp; continue to create for change. This is the world I envision for black people.” -Mike Gray</h2>

</p>
<p>This home features an open concept layout. The owner loves a clean and contemporary design with a touch of traditional. Are you ready to see how we transform this space? </p>
<p></p>

<h1>Warming Up The Space</h1>
<p>We always start with our rugs! This rug from India was the perfect way to bring in definition to the room, bring in a little warmth, and bring in a touch of traditional. </p>
<p>We designed this room around the colors of the rug. We loved the subtle warm tones and the different shades of blues and grays for the space. We kept in mind the colorful living room and the accents we were going to use in the foyer entrance. This helps the entire space feel separate, but cohesive. </p>

<p>This room is super long and super tall. We picked some big furniture to fill up the space, but still wanted it to feel airy. The large buffet is a little over 4.5ft tall and is a traditional piece with so much details. We will be adding a little bit of a modern touch to the piece up next. </p>
<p>The modern chairs help with the airy feel and the gold accents play off the chandelier and some of the pieces in the foyer. </p>
<p>We also love bringing in all of the pieces for the room into the space. Usually we bring in several options for accessories, pillows, art, arrangements, and having them in the space helps see which ones will bring the space to life. </p>

<h1>Bringing It Together</h1>
<p>The table we chose for the space is traditional and modern with a gold accent. We love playing with heights in the room, especially when there’s a super tall piece involved. In this case we pulled from the rug to provide an accent with the taller end chairs. These are also in a crushed  velvet fabric to add some texture to the room. </p>

<p>If you look closely, we also added a little more color by pulling those dark tones from the rug via lumbar pillows in each end chair. Don’t they make the space feel a little more cozy? </p>

<p>The long table and tall ceilings called for a substantial center piece. We tied in a little antique bronzed vase with lots of orchids to bring both traditional and freshness into the spave</p>

<p>The buffet got a little lift with some acrylic door knobs and a modern take on a traditional lamp. There’s so much space on the buffet top and lots of storage inside - four shelves to display so much. </p>

<p>So we sacrificed a huge place and being in the city for much cheaper rent and tiny space living. But what we GAINED in return was awesome- a fresh farmer’s market four blocks away, gorgeous woodland running trails in Prospect Park, more indie coffee shops than I could count, and a friendly community. </p>

<h2>Signs that your plant needs water are:</h2>
<p>1.	The soil is dry</p>
<p>2.	The pot is light</p>
<p>3.	The plant is drooping</p>
<p>4. The leaves are wrinkle</p>
<p>6.	The leaf tips are browning</p>
<p>7.	The plant isn’t growing</p>

<h2>Your plant’s soil is dry</h2>
<p>I know I talk about moisture metres all the time, but they’re the best way for beginners to learn when to water their plants.</p>
<p>It would be nice if there was a universal number to water at, but different plants come from different parts of the world, and they need watering at different stages of dryness.</p>
<p>As a general rule of thumb:</p>
<p>•	Water cacti and succulents when the moisture metre reads 1</p>
<p>•	Alocasia and anthurium – 2-3</p>
<p>•	Pothos, philodendron, monstera, syngonium, aglaonema – 2</p>
<p>•	Ferns and Calathea – 3-4</p>
<p>After you become more acquainted with your plants you’ll rely less on your moisture metre, but they’re a godsend for beginners. You can buy them from Amazon for under a tenner.</p>
<h2>Your plant feels light</h2>
<p>Water is heavy, so there’s a distinct weight difference between wet and dry plants. After a while you’ll be able to tell if a plant needs watering just by picking it up. I know, I know, I was sceptical too, but it’s TRUE.</p>

<h2>Your plant is drooping</h2>
<p>If your plant is limp, a bit pale and drooping, that points to overwatering, but a plant that looks sad in posture only is probably thirsty. Again, moisture metres are invaluable for figuring out which it is, especially if you’re new to plant parenthood.</p>
<p>Some plants are renowned for being overdramatic when it comes to drooping. Peace lilies especially – you don’t need a moisture metre for these, just water as soon as they start to droop.</p>

<h2>Your plant’s leaves are wrinkled</h2>
<p>Plants with succulent leaves, such as hoya and er, succulents have wrinkled leaves in times of drought. Pothos and philodrendron also get wrinkly leaves too.</p>
<p>If you’re not using a moisture metre and you don’t have the pot weight think sussed yet, it’s advised that you wait until the leaves are wrinkled before you water.</p>
<p>Plants with succulent leaves tend to be far more tolerant of underwatering than overwatering, so waiting til their leaves are wrinkled can be good way of ensuring you’re not giving them too much water.</p>
<p>The leaves will plump up again pretty quickly.</p>
<h2>Brown tips on the ends of the leaves</h2>
<p>Crispy tips is often a sign of lack of water, but it’s more likely to be a sign that your plant needs higher humidity.</p>

<h2>Your plant isn’t growing</h2>
<p>In order for plants to thrive, they need plenty of light and water. Plants like succulents and cacti have a surprising capacity for water, especially in summer.</p>
<p>Whilst it’s true they like their soil to dry out completely, this may only take a couple of weeks when the weather is hot. It’s also important to give your plant enough water.</p>
<p>Make sure that the plant is thoroughly soaked, and that water is coming through the drainage hole. Remove any excess water from the saucer or drip tray, and repeat every time the soil is completely dry.</p>
<p>Succulents could probably survive being watered every other month and not show any ill effects, but once you start watering them more often, you’ll notice them growing much more quickly.</p>

<h2>1. Sansevieria (Snake Plant)</h2>
<p>Called ‘Snake Plant’ or ‘Mother-in-Law’s Tongue,’ this houseplant has striking sword-shaped leaves that add height, greenery and simply make any interior feel happier. Extremely low-maintenance, this hardy indoor plant is adaptable to almost any growing condition including <a href="https://www.plants.com/greenhouse/plant-care/6-best-low-light-indoor-plants/">low light.</a> Water when soil is dry to the touch.</p>

<h2>2. ZZ Plant</h2>
<p>The ZZ plant excels when ignored and will even grow in low-light conditions, such as dark corners of offices and homes. A workhorse of a houseplant, the ZZ can tolerate periods of drought, so water when top 2 inches of the soil is dry.</p>

<h2>3. Monstera </h2>
<p>This stylish plant has been touted as one of the easiest houseplants ever. You can find this plant in a range of shapes and sizes. Relatively slow growers, place monstera in medium or bright spots and water when the soil surface dries out.</p>

<h2>4. Palms</h2>
<p>A ‘plant it and forget it’ choice because it needs very little attention. As long as you don’t overwater, this plant is indestructible. It’s a slow grower that’s perfect for just about any room of the home. Water when the top 2 inches of soil is dry to the touch.</p>

<p>As an iconic testament to the 1960’s John Lautner’s, the Sheats-Goldstein Residence has become a staple among the curvy ascent to the Los Angeles hills.</p>
<p>The estate had become a fluent mixture of inch by inch perfection thanks to the 15 year collaboration from architect John Lautner and current house resident, James Goldstein.</p>
<p>This magnificent piece of architectural styling has become a near hearted piece of influence to my own work.</p>
