Cut a lemon into thick slices
Cut a few shallots in half lengthwise
A few sprigs of tyme
In a dutch oven salt and brown a whole chicken cut up in olive oil then set aside
Brown shallots and lemons in the same dutch oven on medium heat
6-9 dates
1-2 teaspoons
Mix everything (dates, lemon slices, Tyme, and about a cup of water) in the dutch oven and sprinkle the the chicken with the chili powder.
Cover and put in oven for 25-30 min
Remove cover and cook an additional 25-30 min
Take out of the oven and let sit an additional 10 min before serving.
