the struggle of the species

there is an ancient war between forms of life and we are all unknowing participants in a cosmic battle as old as time

it’s not about race religion money or power

it’s about the number of cells that make up an organism and their sexuality …

the main players

multicellular - you me monkeys any creature that is made up of a collection of cells

unicellular - bacteria mostly infectious, can be deadly, some helpful allies in our gut usually can be taken down with antibiotics but retaliate with resistance

acellular - viruses, the black box, a nano particular of disease, must be magnified 50 million times to be seen …. not even considered living

size doesn’t matter

let’s just think about it something so small you have to magnify 50 million times to see yet has the power to topple the world economy and leave you scared of leaving your house how could this be and why have I gained so much weight this year

the basics

we as human have DNA which gets replicated to produce more cells in one living host

viruses need a host to survive they are just merely particles with a floating strand of genetic information however lack the necessary tools to utilize their code and replicate

that’s where you come in

by infecting you they use your bodies facilities to make more of themselves making you sick but they are thriving

come on in

a good virus doesn’t kill the host it prefers to keep the sick but a live constantly able to replicate and reproduce, they are able replicate over a billion times a day

a billion times a day ?

what does that mean for you, well the majority of the asexual organism will replicate as the same, some will replicate and produce non viable copies which will ultimately die off, however a small portion will replicate and produce virulent strains that are more harmful / infectious

THUS by natural selection the stronger virus all though as starts as one can replicate fast will start changing rapidly this leading to what is know as genetic shift and more people sick sometimes even rendering medical treatment useless

what can we do to stop this

WE CANT

this source of massive reproduction is their home court advantage, ours is splitting our dna and sharing it with another person two different mechanisms of genetic variation and the only that lives the longest survives

we change our dna by replicating with another person

they change by make a billion copies

who will win the battle between the asexual vs the sexual
