<h1>The Net Zero Life Podcast Launch</h1>
<p>This past fall I got a call from an old friend from high school. I’ve become known as “the podcast guy” in many circles and this friend wanted some feedback on a podcast idea. My old friend Nathan Tzvi told me that he’s passionate about climate issues and sustainability, and he’s on a mission to become Net Zero by the end of 2021. </p>
<p>As Nathan and I spoke I was more and more compelled by the project and I decided to join him as executive producer. Three months later the Net Zero Life is now set to launch in under three weeks and I am working hard to help make it happen. </p>
<p>My experience in podcasting has taught me that the launch moment is extremely important. You have just a couple weeks to impress the Apple Podcasts algorithm and get a boost from them in either search or being listed in a curated playlist. So along with Nathan and Mitch, our musician and audio engineer genius, I’m busting my butt to make sure that the Net Zero Life launch will be as good as it can be. </p>
<p>This means having a trailer, and first episode and social media ready to roll. This week I am putting the final touches on the first episode, which is about teaching ourselves to make sustainable choices, and the trailer, which tells you exactly what the podcast is all about. That’s my first priority this week. </p>

<p>The KMFFL Podcast is a cool side-project of mine. A buddy of mine suggested we start a podcast for and about our fantasy football league just as I started working on my podcast skills. </p>
<p>For the past three years KMFFL has served as a training ground for me as a host and producer. We’re three seasons into the show and now it is a regular part of my life. </p>
<p>Earlier this season, we discussed a bit of gossip about an old high school acquaintance, and this guy told us he wanted to come on the show and explain the situation. So even though we’re in the off-season, we’re recording and posting an episode about some gossip, and discussing the Jewish holiday Purim, which is happening later this week. </p>

<h1><a href="https://www.joinclubhouse.com/event/mav5N625">Exploring a New Space: Clubhouse</a> </h1>
<p>A friend of mine started telling me about a new social media app a few weeks ago, but it took me until last Sunday to accept her invitation to Clubhouse. </p>
<p>Wow. </p>
<p>I identified social media as a major priority for 2021 and it is clear that Clubhouse is going to be a big part of it. Clubhouse is an audio-only medium that is organized by topic, and I feel like it was made with me in mind. My experience podcasting and talking about the things I like with combative friends translate perfectly on Clubhouse and I think it will be crucial for my push to get my Instagram and Twitter following to 1,000 by the end of 2021. </p>
<p>This week I am hosting my first two rooms. First, Office Hours for the Net Zero Life Podcast on Tuesday night, then a collaboration with Bill Goldstein of the podcast Not That You Asked. In both rooms I will be moderating and I look forward to supporting Nathan and Bill, and to speaking with the audiences. </p>

SpeshFX Episode 0

<h1>Finishing SpeshFX</h1>
<p>My first serious podcast project was SpeshFX. The first ever podcast about the international beatbox community, SpeshFX was my way of showing podcasters and journalists that I knew what I was doing. </p>
<p>I launched the show in 2019 and was featured on Apple Podcasts’ New and Noteworthy curated lists in three categories: Music, Arts, and Performing Arts. But before I could finish the show, I was hired by 247Sports to produce podcasts, and I had to put SpeshFX on hold. </p>
<p>It’s been two years since then, and I’m finally finishing SpeshFX. I don’t want to give anything away, but this week I will release the finale. This has been a long time coming, and I’m excited to share this last episode. </p>
