<p>Julian Stephoni, a well known, Portland, Oregon based musician, has perfected his performance as a Prince impersonator with his tribute band, JRide. </p>
<p>Over the years, he has wowed crowds and even Prince himself, once thanked him and brought him onstage.!</p>

<p>I first witnessed Julian at a performance and was amazed at how his stage presence almost perfectly matched Prince! </p>
<p>After his show we talked a bit. Easy going and funny, we had a great conversation about our connection to Prince. </p>

<p>He requested my presence at some Airbnb he had rented for the next few days and sis made a run for it like Gabrielle in the olympics.  Fixed dinner cleaned the house washed clothes and worked my shift before packing my bags. Hell my children are 17 and 10 within the privacy of our own home so I dipped.  Via route 1 and 113 I make it to the house and little after midnight yet before quarter after. </p>

<p>Excited for my arrival said in the calls yet the lack of movement he displayed with assistance of my bags was in the negative, dude didn’t lift A finger until I lift my wrist as I made a signal for him to grab this. Hell I could have waited until the morning for this type of treatment, at least by then I would have had myself entirely together and not half ass. Either way I was there and no turning back at least not for the night. He showed me to the room and unbeknownst to me we had our own private bathroom which was a pleasant surprise. </p>

<p>As I begin to unpack my things I grab my phone to check the alert that had came through while I was trying to find the house.  The text tore through me like a Vulture on dead flesh my eyes immediately filled with tears, my heart with grief and my lungs with cries. Once the sound pierced my ears I snapped back and closed my mouth, didn’t help as the moaning was a sound as well. </p>

<p>Aunt Anera had passed away. My heart was hurting. Good thing for the bathroom I reached for my towel rag and soap and made my way to the shower. Felt like it took me forever to get there. I held the towel to my mouth to muffle the cries. I started to rethink all over again, why I was there.</p>

<p>“Look at her, she’s perfect for the mission.” Violet said. “She was born with a piece of the life tree crystal. She must be very powerful!” The new father said. “What should we call her?” Violet asked. “Look at her eye’s Violet, We name her Storm. “Hello Storm.” A dark voice said. “Stay out of this Sunshine.” Violet said. Oh Violet, let me see my cousin.” Sunshine said sweetly. Violet let Sunshine see. “She looks deadly.” Sunshine looked at her oddly. “Particularly deadly…” “Sunshine!! SHE WILL NOT KILL HER YOUNGER SIBLINGS!!” Violet cried. “I know, but she might kill someone…a few someones.”￼￼</p>

<p>Chapter 1 part 2 -Willow-</p>

<p>“She’s more perfect then Storm!” Sunshine said. “Mother, what if she acts nothing like us though.” Lightbeam said. “Then we send her to the human world.” Sunshine replied. “But we still wait until she’s 13 dragon years. “Yes mother.” Lightbeam said. “But mother her life crystal…” “Yes Lightbeam, I’m aware that it’s not from the life tree… but it does have hints of black.” “From her father.” A voice piped up. “STORM!” Sunshine said￼ through her teeth￼. “I’m done with you!” Sunshine nearly stabbed her claws into Storms ￼ neck￼￼. “Sunshine, my dear cousin, are you turning into your dragon form?!” “Maybe I am maybe I’m not!” Sunshine said. “Ok. See you later Sunshine!” And Storm turned into a crystal dragon and flew off. “I’ll get her…” “Mother?” Lightbeam said. “What will you name her?” “Willow” Sunshine said. </p>

<h1>Chapter 1 Part 3 -Midnight and Sunrise-</h1>

<p>“She’s hideous!” ￼Sunbeam cried. “She is.” Sunshine agreed. “Mother she is NOT that bad!” Willow argued. “We should have never laid the egg on this rock at midnight! And just look at her sister, she looks HUMAN!” Sunlight said to herself. “Name that one Sunrise and that one Midnight.” Lightbeam said. “Fine, WHERE IS BLOODMOON!?” Sunrise yelled. “Right here.” Bloodmoon said. “Take your hideous daughters! One to the mud kingdom and that other one to the human world!” “Fine, I’ll take Midnight first.” So he flew off with Midnight. “ Hello Midnight, your just like me, I can tell by the way you look at me. Little mindreader, don’t worry I’ll come back for you and your sisters, Willow and Sunrise.” “Dada.” Midnight Said. Midnight gazed up at him. Bloodmoon could hear it in his mind, “Fire is coming to scorch the land, lava is coming to burn the moons, water will bring down the sun, unless their all found.” A prophecy already?! “Little Midnight, who needs to be found?”</p>

<h1>Chapter 1 Part 4 -A lot of years later-</h1>

<p>“Midnight! It’s time for you to get up!” Said Amber. “Yes Mother.” Midnight replied. Knock Knock. “Who could that be??” Amber said. Amber opened the door to a girl a little older then Midnight was standing there. “How may I help you?” Amber asked. “I am Forest. I am here to finally take my daughter Midnight.” She replied. “Um, excuse the mess, would you like tea?” Amber said. “Sure, not if its a bad time though.” Forest said. “Oh no, come in!” Amber said. Amber turned to Midnight. “And Midnight,go to your room.” Amber said quickly. “Ok mother.” </p>

<h1>Chapter 1 Part 5 -Forest-</h1>

<p>“You see, I was being chased when she hatched and so I had to leave her here.” Forest said. “Ok,but I don’t know how Midnight will react to this.” Amber said nervously. “Let me handle this myself. Can I talk to her?” Forest asked. “Yes she’s in her bedroom.” Amber said. “Thank you.” “Wait Forest, you know about her powers right?” Amber asked. “What?” Forest said. “Midnight is a Dark Night Dragon.” “NO!! THEIR EXTINCT!!” Forest shouted. But in her mind she said, “She reads minds…” </p>

<h1>Chapter 2 Part 1 -Storm Again-</h1>

<p>“DAD,NO!” Storm shouted. “She deserves it Storm!” He answered. “NO!” Storm had tears building up. “If you want it kill mother, you have to face me first.” Storm placed herself in front of her mother. “Storm, out of the way!” He said. Storm bit her father in the arm. “Ow!” He said. “It’s poisoning you.” Storm replied. He looked around and saw a bus. He hopped on and drove away. “Mother, are you okay?” Storm asked. She saw that she was turning invisible. Potions. </p>

<p>DING! “Hello, welcome to “Willow’s Potion Shop.” How may I help you?” Willow said. “Hello I’m Storm and I’d like to know if anyone received a invisibility potion recently?” “Yes, a few hours ago someone came and bought a invisibility potion.” Willow answered. “Wait…STORM!! Aunt Storm! Why are you asking did you find my sisters??” Willow cried. “Willow listen, that was my DAD!” Storm said. “So?” Willow asked. “He splashed it on my mom and drove away on a bus!” Storm cried. “He’s a bus driver.” Willow said. “An evil one.” “SO,DO YOU HAVE AN SOMETHING THAT CAN MAKE IT STOP!!” Storm cried. “Ummm, no.”</p>

So I went to Willow’s and she said it would never wash off.” Storm replied. “WHAT??” Thunder exploded. “Bro, calm down!” Storm said. “We need to find the rest of the family.” Storm said. “First we ask Sunshine where her other 3 daughters are.” “What? I’m an uncle?” Thunder said. “Willow is one of the 4 sisters. We need to find the other 3. And then we need to find our other sister, Forest.” Storm ignored her brother. </p>

I’M AN ADULT WOLF!” Twilight slashed her claws at Leo’s face. “Owwww” Leo covered his eye and ran away. “Finally someone doing something to my brother.” Varo said. “He deserves it.” Twilight answered. “Ha, I think I’ve beat him up enough!” Varo replied. “</p>

<h1><strong>Falling Away From You</strong></h1>
<h2>As the scene escaped the hands of time, I stood frozen in awe as the ground beneath me shook violently. Never mind the sense of dread I felt in the moment, I was awake in a dream and caught between the seams of reality, tearing at the fabric that is my sanity. What is this? As my breath escapes me I think to my self, “am I going crazy” this can’t be real it’s hazy but the resemblance is, wait, the world around me is amazing. </h2>
<h2>My experience with lucid dreaming has led me down some interesting experiences. This world we experience collectively sits atop of another, one that’s neither ordered or chaos, just flowing. This flow inevitably recycles its way to our surface reality where we experience it objectively through our senses, little do we know what lies beneath. </h2>

<h1>London during Christmas?</h1>
<h2>There’s a reason for the hype.</h2>
<p>This year, London has been rated the world’s best city for the sixth year in a row, and looking at what it has to offer especially during this time of year, who’s surprised really?!</p>
<p>Christmas is the most magical time of year to be visiting the world’s most popular capital - with spectacular installations and decorations, happy people skating on ice rinks and festive Christmas markets spread across the city centre, there’s no reason to NOT come for a visit (except maybe Covid travel restrictions..).</p>
<p>While there are numerous things and places to see, do, eat, shop - you name it - I have listed my top 7 favourite spots not to be missed to get into the festive spirit.</p>

<p>With its massive height and beautiful lights, the Christmas tree in the middle of the Covent Garden Piazza has definitely earned its spot on the list!</p>
<p>Buzzing with a wide variety of restaurants, cute cafés and picturesque shops, Covent Garden is one of the greatest places to get a solid first dose of Christmas vibes. </p>
<p>After taking some colourful snaps of the Christmas tree, head to Floral Street and grab a beer or mulled wine at the iconic White Lion pub or enjoy a hot chocolate at French café Le Pain Quotidien right in the middle of the Piazza.</p>
<p>And if you happen to find yourself near the Christmas tree at the full hour, make sure you stay and enjoy Covent Garden’s very own little snow storm: Until the 27th of December, snow will fall hourly between 12pm and 7pm on the West and North Piazza.</p>

<h1>2. Liberty London </h1>
<h2>Don’t miss out on their iconic Christmas Shop!</h2>
<p>London is famous for its many luxury department stores, but your Christmas visit surely isn’t complete without a trip to Liberty’s iconic Christmas Shop on the 4th floor.</p>

<p>Whether you’re looking for a gift, some add-on decoration for your own Christmas tree at home or a souvenir for yourself, the huge variety of shimmering Christmas baubles and unique tree ornaments will not disappoint. </p>
<p>Each year, the shop offers differently themed baubles and ornaments attracting locals and tourists alike. Grab your favourites or simply marvel at the glitz and glamour, Liberty’s Christmas shop is the place to go.</p>

<p>Stepping right outside Charing Cross station, you will find yourself on The Strand, London’s connection between the early twin centres of Westminster and the City of London. </p>
<p>A street with immense historical significance, it doesn’t disappoint with its display of magical, star-shaped Christmas lights either! </p>
<p>Head west and visit the Trafalgar Square’s beautiful Christmas market, or head up The Strand and book yourself a slot to show off those ice skating skills at the ice rink at Somerset House.</p>

<h1>4. Winter Wonderland</h1>
<p>There’s no denying that London is a hub of Christmassy excitement around this time of year, but with its yearly Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the city truly outdoes itself regularly.</p>
<p>Cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic for the first time in many years, the 2021 Wonderland is back in its full glory. With breathtaking rides, spectacular shows, a kids-friendly Santaland and its very own Bavarian beer and food village (looking at you, fellow Germans), the park has something in store for literally everyone.</p>
<p>Whether you’re a local or a tourist, swap that stroll or daily jog through Hyde Park for a fun adventure between November and January and enjoy the world’s ultimate Christmas destination. </p>

<h1>5. St. Paul’s Cathedral </h1>
<p>Right in the heart of the City of London, St. Paul’s is waiting to welcome you within its incredibly beautiful and gigantic walls. Whether you’re religious or not, there’s something magical about visiting a building of that size and significance during Christmas time.</p>
<p>Completed in 1708, the Cathedral’s dome is 111 metres high and currently the second largest cathedral dome in the world. Filled with monuments, paintings, galleries, archives and so much more, St. Paul’s really is worth the visit.</p>
<p>And if you’re lucky, you might even bear witness to a heartwarming rehearsal or concert sung by the Choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Merry Christmas!</p>

<p>Oh, Carnaby… </p>
<p>Carnaby Street is a happy place for many, and once you see it, you will know why.</p>
<p>Being the capital’s beating heart of London’s fashion scene in the ‘60s, Carnaby is with its numerous flagship stores still very much one of the go-to places for fashion lovers from around the world. </p>
<p>Home to the most beautiful art installations all year round, Carnaby shows off during Christmas even more. And the best part: The installations are usually created to raise awareness for important topics such as climate change or the wellbeing of refugees.</p>
<p>Plus, Carnaby Street is not only a great place for shopping, it is surrounded by the fanciest bars and restaurants, offering drinks and specialties from Hawaii, Asia, Spain and many more countries. A personal favourite? Head to Ugly Dumpling at the corner of Newburgh Street and enjoy the most mouth-watering dumplings you’ve ever tasted. Promise!</p>
<p>So after you’ve taken around a hundred pictures of the street’s stunning seasonal art display, make sure you don’t forget to grab a bite to fill up your energy tanks!</p>

<h1>7. Regent Street</h1>
<p>Finally, Regent Street offers all the glitter and sparkle our hearts could desire. Stretching all the way from Piccadilly Circus up to Oxford Street, Regent Street’s famous Christmas Angels are a true sight for sore eyes.</p>
<p>Named “The Spirit of Christmas”, this display of lights attracts thousands of people every year to enjoy its romantic atmosphere on one of London’s busiest high streets.</p>
<p>To get a good glimpse and a couple of good snaps, head to the narrow central pavement on Regent Street - it’s a lot more quiet there and you will be able to stare up at the lights for a moment without being run over within 0.2 seconds. </p>
<p>With the elegant Regent Street buildings surrounding the sky-rising angels, these lights are probably my favourite ones in London during Christmas.</p>

Our favourite capital is even glitzier during this time of year, and you will return home all jolly and bright! <h2><strong>About The Artist</strong></h2>
<p>As an emerging film photographer with a spark for ingenuity, Mike Gray enthralls the viewer with his cinematic stills, close up portraiture, and staged scenes. Although Gray recently began to focus more intently on photography, with the guidance of mentor Tyler Shields, he embarked on an exploration into the creative/artistic realm a decade prior. </p>
<p>As a young child, it was clear that Gray’s artistic aptitude necessitated further cultivation. Growing up in both Dallas and Houston, Texas, his time in the South facilitated a courageous mindset that has motivated Gray to foster the poignant art he makes today. As was his dream since high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Gray has made a name for himself acting in theatrical productions, film, tv and commercials. Alongside, he also dabbled in directing and editing. Self driven and determined, Mike Gray has solidified himself as a multifaceted creator.</p>
<p>With his preferred film camera, PENTAX 67, Gray captures his subjects with vivid intimacy.</p>
<p>He is best known for elevating people of color by drawing on historic events of the past to inspire his concepts. “The overall mission is to highlight my people and put them in positions they normally wouldn't be put in years ago.” In this vein, Gray molds his own narrative in each photo he takes, warping the past to weave a better future. His documentary work from the LA Riots in 2020, along with his recreations of historical moments (the Kennedys and Ruby Bridges) elevate ordinary people to compelling figures of power. Gray’s images, layered with shock value and meaning, enable him to comment on the political and social systems of our current and past generations. </p>
<p>Although Gray constructs images of his own blueprint, he is far from wedded to a singular artistic style. Although some of his work is staged, he allows his instincts to inform his creative side. Spontaneity — on the other hand —is a pivotal aspect of Gray's documentary artistry. Gray adheres to the constant forward-moving cycle of creativity, emphatically claiming, “progression is pivotal.” His work, while distinguishable in its deliberate thematic motives, is simple in its tangible rawness. With Gray, art is not sought synthetically, but veiled right before our eyes. Gray’s photography allows the viewer to step into an alternate reality, one seen through a learned lens.</p>
<p>Mike Gray is an artist to look out for. Charismatic charm exudes from his person, and his humble stance only further portrays his authentic approach. With so much achieved from the first year of his photography career, greatness awaits young Gray.</p>

<h1><strong>BLACK UTOPIA </strong></h1>
<h2>“The reasoning behind naming the series Black Utopia, is the perfection of the world I create for each image. My goal as an artist was to put African American people in positions you normally wouldn’t see them in during the respected time period. Beauty, Happiness, Vulnerability, and Freedom are four stand out words to describe the feeling of Black Utopia. I’ve never been a fan of how my people are portrayed publicly, which is why I plan to push the envelope &amp; continue to create for change. This is the world I envision for black people.” -Mike Gray</h2>

<h1><strong>Oatman and Seligman- Tourist Traps Done Right!</strong></h1>

<p>Nearly 100 years ago, Route 66, the Mother Road, was Main Street, America. Chicago to Santa Monica, yeah baby! Then Dwight Eisenhower signed the Interstate Highway system into existence. Once the interstates were built, Route 66 became an afterthought, a road for tourists. Many sections were closed. No longer is it US Route 66.</p>
<p>Tourists driving the road now known as Arizona Route 66 find that drive more than worth their time, though. Oatman and Seligman are two kitschy small towns that owe their continued existence to tourists travelling the road. They're cheesey! They're fun! They're photogenic! They're tourist traps done right!</p>

<p>My task with this video was to show the staggering difference between how people used to consume information before technology and how people can consume information now, thanks to apps like Magma.</p>

<h1>The motive</h1>
<p>Show users how all the information they need (politics, financial news, health and lifestyle articles, pro level media galleries) can be found inside this app.</p>

<h1>The edit</h1>
<p>The video should have a perfect balance between information and VFX elements, so that more types of audiences can relate to it and show interest in creating a Magma account.</p>
