What Next?
—————————————————————
As we approach the 3 month mark of Quarantine a lot of us are left wondering what the future holds.
With a solid amount of states entering phase 2 or 3 or whatever the fuck they want to call it, we have to remember a few things.
Not everyone is at the same comfort level. Some who may be at higher risk than others might not feel ready to fully socialize for fear of still contracting the virus at a dangerous level. Be courteous to these individuals. Get their back.
The virus is still out there. Numbers aren’t dropping. They’re increasing still in some areas. Go get your social and outdoor fix. We encourage it. But don’t be a moron.
Stay positive. Use this time to come out on top. Master something you’ve been doing forever. Become acquainted with something new. Become better than your buddy at something he’s been doing forever so you can hold it over his head. The opportunities are endless.
Stay rad.
The Good Shit.
The real bummer about this whole pandemic is the fact that it’s creeping onto sacred ground. Summer should be protected at all costs. And if we can all band together and try not to be morons, maybe summer can still be salvaged.
Here are some goods to help make that happen.
Check back soon for more good shit.
Brand Spotlight:
COOLNVINTAGE
In the world of vehicles, there are a few who get better with age. When it comes to design, it truly does not get better than the Land Rover Defender.
With 1997 being the last year shipped and sold in the US, there has become a cult following of the OG SUV and a lot of shops around the world have taken their speciality talents to the Defender. Some like to improve the performance and modernize the simple machines, and others like to create art pieces out of the simplicity of a stock defender.
CoolnVintage does just that.
Their builds are actual pieces of art built by hand in their Lisbon, Portugal Studio. With everything from hand painted chassis to flawless interior work built around vintage Marshall speakers. The defenders they produce are simply stunning.
With prices starting around $100,000 usd for a custom designed restoration build and go upwards of $200,000 usd for the more unique and one of a kind projects, they aren’t for everyone. But if you have the cash, I dare you to find a cooler way to spend it.
Autocamp
OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES MADE EASY
Yosemite • Cape Cod • Sonoma
AutoCamp is where great design meets the great outdoors. Their design-forward accommodations in nature make spending time outdoors fun and hassle free.
The lodging ranges from glamping tents, crazy chic Air Streams and even private cabins. Whether you just need to get away, want to show your hot but snobby city chick that camping is fun or want a corona safe vacation, this is it.
The Moorings Village
Islamorada, FL
The very definition of an adult's playground, this 18-acre property offers every outdoor activity imaginable, from deep sea fishing to wind surfing, kayaking and snorkeling.
The resort itself is a collection of 18 cottages—all shaded under a canopy of coconut palms, and connected by wooden walkways that lead to a 1,100-foot beach. With scenery like this, it's no wonder the hotel has served as the backdrop to countless photo shoots (ahem, Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition included).
For a delightfully lazy afternoon, settle into one of the many hammocks with a piña colada and a beach read. Best part is you don’t have to leave the states to get a full tropical getaway vibe.
