What’s it like to stay in a Conestoga Wagon?
We took a trip to Utah in October & one of our stops was to Zion National Park. Since we were traveling during Covid times we didn’t really want to stay in a traditional hotel so we looked around & I found this interesting option to stay in a Conestoga Wagon.
Zion Ponderosa Ranch borders the east entrance of Zion National Park. It’s a 4,000 sq ft ranch & resort with lots of different lodging options.
The Conestoga Wagon sleeps 6, with a King bed & twin bunk beds. They provide all the sheets & blankets which is nice.
It’s got free Wi-Fi although it was a bit wonky in our cabin. It’s also equipped with a heater & air conditioner which came in quite handy.
Outside was a fire pit-grill & a picnic table along with one parking spot. There was a shared bath down the way & individual showers there too.
We had a lot of fun & really enjoyed staying in the Conestoga Wagon.
Since we were there in October it did get cold in the evening so I would recommend warm clothes for any walks to the bathroom.
Observation Point Trail Head
From the ranch you can reach the East Mesa Trail to Observation Point, which gives you the opportunity to see these incredible views. We went around sunset & it was spectacular!
This was my first time to Observation Point and it did not disappoint. And the East Mesa Trail was super runable & it was a fun hike/run that I would recommend to anyone.
